Our second interview focuses on Hukoomi, Qatar's e-government portal. Hukoomi is the official gateway to all the information and services you need to live, work, or stay in Qatar. Instead of visiting multiple ministries and waiting in long lines, businesses, citizens and visitors can complete transactions online, saving time and money.
Here's a list of some popular services offered on Hukoomi:
- paying a traffic violation
- applying for a tourist visa
- renew your health card
- apply for an exit permit
- apply to Qatar University
Forum One has been lucky enough to work with the Hukoomi team on usability and accessibility testing over the past two years.
On our most recent trip to Qatar, we attended the QITCOM conference and talked to some influential people in the tech world. We interviewed Mohannad Naim, who spoke about Hukoomi and it's future.
