GovTech Reports on Drupal Adoption

With over 150 federal government sites powered by Drupal, the open-source CMS is more than ever meeting the needs of big sites.

GovTech.com, a top source of government IT news, reported today on the many new government sites that are confidently adopting Drupal as their CMS. Agencies have overcome concerns about security, integration, and departure from Microsoft products. They are now realizing that Drupal’s flexibility make it the most cost-effective solution.

Our own CTO, Kurt Voelker, was quoted in the article:

What's New at Forum One: The DrupalCon 2012 Update

So what’s new at Forum One? I’m expecting and looking forward to getting that question a lot this week. I’ve just arrived in Denver for the big Drupal CMS conference "DrupalCon 2012." Thirteen of us from Forum One are among the 3,000 attending. I’m going to spend the week talking with clients and partners about what’s new in their worlds, and also the latest news at Forum One.

So what’s new at Forum One? What I'll be talking about at DrupalCon 2012 with clients and partners is the great things we're busy with on work for our clients, work which meets our intention of "Communicate. Collaborate. Change the world." And work which makes innovative use of Drupal, Acquia Commons, mobile data, and more. We've also made some nice additions recently to our team and big investments into Forum One's future!

What's Behind Turning Data into Action

Educators today have a tremendous amount of data available to them about their students. The challenge: How that data can strengthen teaching and learning.

That’s where Closing the Gap: Turning Data into Action comes in. As the name suggests, this project, launched by Gartner Inc., the Consortium of School Networking (CoSN) and the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), helps educators use data to take effective action.
