We recently rolled out a new version control process, which we feel will better support our increasing project complexity.

Previously, our live sites used trunk, and our work took place on a single dev branch. This was problematic because it was sometimes difficult to separate the tested-and-ready-for-live code from the code still in development.

There's no question that most people have heard of AJAX by now, or have seen some interesting uses of it. When done right, AJAX dramatically improves the user experience, but using AJAX simply for "style points" can be disastrous:

I'm fairly confident that Fox or CBS will never make a TV drama about software development. It's for the same reason that there are few biopics about writers or philosophers: it is simply not very interesting watching someone think or tap away at a keyboard.
