Center for Global Development Updates Commitment to Development Index

The Center for Global Development today launched an updated Commitment to Development Index, ranking 21 of the richest countries against a range of development indicators. The Index, produced and publicized in concert with Foreign Policy Magazine, moves past simply ranking aggregate aid amounts to include other important factors such as trade policy, foreign investment, environmental issues, and other considerations.

Forum One assisted the Center for Global Development in the design and development of the Index site, requiring the clear presentation of very complex data (countries, topics, time series, trends, etc.). The site is particularly innovative in the use of graphs tied to underlying systems which make them easy to update and manipulate. The site also features an innovative data mapping section produced by Mapping Worlds.
