The goal of this year’s annual GHC Conference is to tackle the changing world of global health. The public and international sectors must be prepared to respond to many evolving factors, including an expanding urban population, a shift from infectious to communicable diseases, from acute to chronic diseases, and other demographic shifts around the world. The event will certainly advane the conversation on how to plan and prepare for this change.
Overview
ForumOne is participating in the conference’s Career Day events, which offer workshops to help train a new generation of public health workers. We will be holding a social media workshop to help students and young professionals hone their skills, discuss trends in social media and the changing world of communications as well as program implementation in global health. This session will be led by Chris Rottler, Angela Milton, and Suzanne Rainey.
In partnership with GHC, Kat Overland will be blogging about her conference experience and the implications of new technology for global health practices on GHC's Global Health Magazine blog.
