Internet Strategy

The International Programs Center (IPC) of the U.S. Census Bureau helps countries build their capacity to collect demographic and socioeconomic data through training, technical assistance, and programmatic development. The IPC came to us for help with strategic planning. The organization wanted to reevaluate its outdated presence on the Census.gov site and plan a separate identity that was representative of its distinct international focus.

To accomplish these objectives, Forum One conducted an extensive audience analysis, interviewing over 20 stakeholders from developing country governments, international donor organizations, and the Census Bureau itself. Forum One's strategic recommendations included a detailed road map for redefining IPC's online services and restructuring its overall web communications plan to deliver greater value and extend its reach. Forum One is currently embarking on a new project with IPC to implement its strategic recommendations, such as creating an online scorecard for in-country assessments.
