Angela grew up in a family of competitive artistic roller skaters in Grafton, Massachusetts, and competed at the national level. Practice after school five days a week, combined with the competitions, taught her to manage her time and juggle multiple projects.
Those organizational skills come in very handy at Forum One. As a senior project officer, she is responsible for meeting project objectives with respect to cost, schedule, deliverables, scope, functionality, and quality. She interacts as the formal day-to-day contact between Forum One and many clients.
Angela graduated with a B.A. in international relations from American University and came to us as a research analyst shortly afterward. She was promoted to project officer in 2008. From January to June 2009, Angela did something she had wanted to do for a long time: work as a community health volunteer. She traveled to Nicaragua and, with her Spanish language skills, worked with local health promoters, investigated the feasibility of a new health program for mothers, and helped provide simple water filtration devices to villages.
Back home, she is a member of the D.C. Tennis Community and the Society for International Development Health and Nutrition Workgroup, and she continues to support the Newton/San Juan del Sur Sister City Project in Nicaragua. She plays tennis, jogs, and is certified yoga instructor.
You may not know: Angela has eaten at more than 25 Mexican restaurants in the D.C. area.
