Managing Director of User Experience

Jason, a Greensboro, North Carolina native, has immersed himself in all thing geeky since he and his best friend first encountered the Apple II microcomputer back in grade school. One of his first employment opportunities was working in a magic shop as a kid, where he was thrilled to be paid in trade with a flash gun that shot flames in the air. (He was not so thrilled to later burn his eye-brows off in a moment of flame gun mishap).

These days, Jason connects with his fellow tech geeks and web design fanatics in various (and much less dangerous) ways. He writes on occasion for blogs like Webdesigner Depot and GeekDad, and has written numerous books, including Speaking in Styles: The Fundamentals of CSS for Web Designers and Fluid Web Typography. Jason regularly speaks at interactive conferences, including South by Southwest, Next Conference in Berlin, Voices That Matter, CSS Summit, and Web Directions.

At Forum One, Jason leads the User Experience and Design project team in developing creative concepts and approaches that address client needs, continuously enhancing and expanding Forum One's methodologies and services, and providing strategic and tactical leadership. He leverages his expertise in user-centered design practices, information architecture, content and brand strategy, visual design, and interface development to achieve powerful web designs for Forum One’s influential, policy-driven clients.
