Interface Engineer

Jason was born in Washington, D.C., but lived in and traveled to many places when his father was in the military. A self-described computer junkie, Jason designs and develops rich interactive web solutions, leveraging a variety of open-source technologies.

Jason brings outstanding user interface and development skills to Forum One, as well as a firm understanding of accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, interoperability, and scalability best practices. His expertise covers the full range of development methodologies; a meticulous attention to detail; and proficiency in HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, JSP, C#, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Drupal, Sharepoint, portal solutions, interface design principles, and Section 508 accessibility testing.

Earlier in his career, Jason worked as a web developer for the Tricare Information Technology Division and for Democracy Data & Communications, a public affairs firm. In both places, he translated client needs into compelling web solutions, ranging from simple informational sites to enterprise-level e-commerce solutions. As lead user interface developer for Agentrics, he spearheaded web application and platform design projects for major international retailers, including CVS, Safeway, Best Buy, Carrefour, Tesco, Walgreens, and Walmart.

Jason majored in computer graphics and minored in information technology at George Mason University. He says he finds himself doing household chores in his spare time ("they never end"), but also manages to find time to root for the Redskins.

You may not know: The job he never wants to have to do again? Cleaning the restrooms at a grocery store.
