When students at University of Washington turn in homework or take a quiz online, they just may have Kevin to thank. No guarantees of a good grade, but he managed a team at UW Information Technology, Academic & Collaborative Applications that designed and developed these and other applications to support the university’s academic and research activities.
Kevin also knew what it was like to be a UW student first-hand--he graduated from the university’s well-regarded iSchool with a B.S. in Informatics.
Now a senior information architect at Forum One, Kevin helps structure the valuable content and other features on our clients’ websites so that visitors easily navigate and act on what they are viewing. His background in user experience design gives him a deft touch in organizing information of all types.
His world view opened through travel at a formative time of life. Between the ages of 11 and 13, Kevin and his family lived in Singapore. Besides seeing amazing sites in other Asian countries (and feeding macaques in Bali), he says the experience heightened his appreciation for different cultures, as well as for his home in the States.
When Kevin isn’t outdoors biking or rock climbing, he may be inside indulging his love of coffee. His favorite foods reflect eclectic tastes: sushi, chicken-fried steak, cheeseburgers, and Reubens (“in that order”).
You may not know: Kevin is particularly proud that he trained for and completed a half-marathon.
His RSS feeds include: Apple news; blogs on user-centered design, graphic and product design and on business and management; productivity tips and tricks
His tags: Athlete, Designer, Explorer, Foodie, Techy/tech guru
