Information Architect

Matt is passionate about community service and, in particular, helping those in need through technology. An example: He taught underserved youth at a community center in Yonkers, New York, to create their own web sites. He has traveled to Romania, Thailand, and four U.S. states on Habitat for Humanity trips.

Matt has a B.S. in information technology and web media from Juniata College and a master's in instructional design and development from George Mason University. As an information architect at Forum One, he draws on this background to develop optimal user experiences for his clients' target audiences. He leverages his knowledge of web media principles and information technology, in combination with his understanding of client specifications and project end-goals, to guide the look and feel of online projects.

Prior to joining Forum One in 2006, Matt was the curriculum and technology manager at the Community Technology Centers' Network (CTCNet), which provides access to technology for underserved communities. He oversaw the development and design of the organization's web sites, and managed a curriculum development project that addressed youth civic engagement issues.

In his free time, Matt enjoys taking pictures and rummaging at yard sales and in antique stores. He's a music connoisseur, especially of obscure but up-and-coming bands, and often holds forth at the Evening Star, Forum One's nearby watering hole in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria. And he roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers (no word on whether he waves a Terrible Towel).

You may not know: He is known to be partial to Oatmeal Creme Pies.
