As the kid sister in a family with three older brothers in Massachusetts, Sarah says she grew up observing her large, wonderful family in all kinds of situations. She continues to draw upon her powers of observation as a user experience associate at Forum One, as she thinks about the way people behave, what motivates them, and how she can put herself in their shoes to make sure they have a better online experience.

Before coming to Forum One, Sarah was a communications project manager at Ashoka.  Notable projects included the redesign of Ashoka’s U.S. site and production of TEDxYSE, a TED event focused on young social entrepreneurs. She was also involved with many other aspects of online strategy, graphic design, social media, and event design that she can draw upon to help Forum One clients.

Sarah has her B.A. in development studies from Brown University in Rhode Island. While in college, she spent a summer in Ghana with Women In Progress, helping an artisan cooperative develop a fair trade program to export products. Back in New England, she helped a foundry in Providence improve its business model and led bus and river tours around Boston.

Sarah was selected as a StartingBloc Fellow, part of a network of young leaders around the world working to drive social innovation. She also belongs to the Interaction Design Association and the Women’s Information Network.

You may not know: Sarah is a two-time NCAA champion in rowing.
