Manager of Technical Delivery

If Shannon is not at a computer, you can look for him either up in the air or under the water since he's both a skydiver and a scuba diver. He is particularly concerned about marine environments where they intersect the human-built environment and volunteers for underwater cleanups with Project AWARE.

Shannon holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.S. in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been doing software development professionally for 13 years. His most memorable project was helping develop the aircraft crew management software that brought Northwest Airlines back online after U.S. airspace was shut down following the World Trade Center attacks.

Born and raised in Mississippi, he says growing up in the South influenced him to work for economic and social justice. At Forum One, he is able to marry his technical skills with this commitment as he provides technical solutions that help our clients achieve their vision of making the world a better place.

The groups that Shannon gets involved with reflect his interests on land, sea, and air. They range from the Scrum Alliance and the Drupal Association, to the U.S. Parachute Association and Reef Environmental Education Foundation.

You may not know: His nickname is “Heathen.” Maybe it’s better not to ask about that any further...

His RSS feeds include: Parachutist Online, Lifehacker, AgileIQ, Open Source Ecology, Tiny Buddha, Scrum Breakfast

His tags: Adventurer, Environmentalist, Idea generator, Techy/Tech guru, Volunteer
