Interactive Art Director

Tim is always looking to solve problems from a new angle, and not because he is only 5'7". As a child, to his parents' dismay, Tim would loudly sift through over 5,000 Legos at 5 a.m. just to find the right piece. Unbeknownst to his parents, Tim saw it as each piece's destiny to be chosen for optimal design and functionality. Even at the tender age of 2, it was this passion for art and functionality — later augmented by countless hours of coding Basic on a TRS-80 -- that led Tim down the path to multimedia design. Today, Tim's goal is to add functional elegance to every interactive project that crosses his desk.

Tim joined Forum One as a Senior Web Designer with experience in brand identity, usage behavior, front-end development, and, most importantly, a keen eye for visual design. With a Fine Arts Degree from Bowling Green State University, Tim is a core part of our User Experience & Design team and is responsible for overseeing and managing visual design for various clients. Tim also supports marketing and business development efforts.

Prior to joining Forum One, Tim spent a decade at AOL/Time Warner playing a key design role on numerous large-scale projects. As Art Director for AOL Commerce, he lead and mentored a team of visual designers, set design/development standards, and explored new processes while ensuring world-class design quality for Shopping, Personals, Careers, Mobile. As a new team member, Tim is looking forward to continuing the never-ending quest for design excellence.

In his free time, Tim tries to hold his throne as the king of the castle with his queen and four princesses (yes, he as a full house!), attempts to continue his long-standing soccer career, and partakes in 3-D visual explorations. He also has the pleasure of teaching "Design for the Web" at Northern Virginia Community College.

What you may not know: Tim could survive on a diet consisting of only peanuts, cheese, and Coke Zero.
