Account Director

Forum One’s Account Directors focus on managing customer relationships across a large portfolio of clients. Drawing upon their expertise in technology, digital marketing, and user experience they serve as client organizations’ trusted advisor through their deep understanding of their work. Account Directors also develop and execute strategies to secure new business opportunities within existing accounts, and identify other leads outside of Forum One’s current client list.

Account Directors learn about their clients’ work through their senior advising on some projects and close collaboration with colleagues assigned to other projects within their accounts. Account Directors are responsible for growing accounts, providing strategic leadership, and for maintaining the overall health of that client relationship.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a targeted growth plan to expand digital services, including campaign planning and execution, complex technical integrations and digital transformation
  • Lead project team members on the value of understanding client needs and priorities, and on identifying potential new business opportunities within existing projects
  • Conduct regular account reviews to highlight key results, conduct metric analysis, and recommend process/procedure changes to better address client needs.
  • Advise clients around digital communications, such as user experience, social marketing, business intelligence, and data visualization
  • Exhibit a driving curiosity and enthusiasm surrounding digital trends and technologies.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise as a senior strategic or technical advisor with experience overseeing a portfolio of active projects and client accounts, ensuring high quality work, exceptional client satisfaction, and strong financial performance.

What you bring to the table:

  • Understanding and experience with nonprofit organizations who work with issues of importance. In particular, experience with groups who work in Forum One’s target sectors is relevant: Education Policy, Environmental Policy, Global Health, Health Care and Health Policy, and International Development.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise as a senior strategic or technical advisor with experience overseeing a portfolio of active projects and client accounts, ensuring high quality work, exceptional client satisfaction, and strong financial performance.
  • Ability to independently develop solutions in response to prospective clients’ needs as expressed by the client in RFPs, interviews, Q&A sessions, etc.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
