Contract Communications Strategy Lead

Forum One is looking for a Communication Strategy Lead  to support one of our federal clients. This is a 1099 contract position. This position can sit remotely, working eastern standard hours. As a Communication Strategy Lead, you will provide knowledge of communications best practices and make strategic recommendations to the client. You will work closely with the client to strategize, implement, review, and analyze social media work, while providing content strategy and editorial support for client web properties.


What you’ll do:

  • Develop a strategic communications plan and implement social media best practices and trends, particularly for government accounts.
  • Manage & develop content in Drupal CMS, appropriately using HTML and CSS elements to tag web content
  • Ability to define and implement 508 compliance and accessibility for websites and PDFs.
  • Provide regular scope and timeline updates to the client 
  • Identify project risks/issues and mitigation strategies in concert with senior project management staff
  • Deliver clear & actionable insight to clients and project team members to facilitate a shared understanding of the client’s digital platforms & ecosystem
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the client’s mission, internal structure, and industry/environmental issues in addition to their audiences, activities & programs.


What you bring to the table: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • At least 6+ years of applicable experience with content management
  • Strong understanding of 508 compliance and accessibility for websites & PDFs
