We’re looking for an exceptional Washington, D.C based Director of Government Business Development to manage and advance our ever-growing portfolio of government work. What kind of work will you go after? We currently support Peace Corps, USAID, CFPB NMAAHC, EPA and more! From content management, to UX testing, to full website redesigns we have a lot to offer, and we’re looking for someone who can successfully convey our value. 

As a senior leader, you’ll be responsible for setting the growth strategy for the Government team and consistently working across operations, services lines, and account growth to ensure a continuous stream of new business for Forum One. Our BD and Government teams are made up of highly motivated individuals who love to help agencies reach their full digital potential, and we're looking for someone with a similar mindset who constantly seeks out new opportunities, believes in our company’s mission, and brings valuable experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the strategic development in securing new business opportunities to achieve Forum One’s annual sales target.
  • Assess what we’re doing and then improve it. Develop win strategies, partner relationships, and marketing strategies that focus on pipeline growth.
  • Manage our exceptional proposal team and spearhead the capture and proposal efforts for government contracts.
  • Be our ‘person on the ground.’ From key industry, networking, and trade events you’ll maintain a high level of activity within the industry.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A required 5+ years of recent government business development experience. 
  • Understanding of and experience with government agencies who work with issues of importance. A big plus – experience with groups who work in Forum One’s target sectors: Education Policy, Environmental Policy, Global Health, Health Care and Health Policy, and International Development.
  • Expertise as a strategic advisor with experience overseeing a portfolio of active client accounts, ensuring high-quality work, exceptional client satisfaction, and strong financial performance.
  • An impressive portfolio of submittals and awards that include all types of government contracts and a full array of capture strategies.
