Are you a JavaScript Developer who loves to participate in all stages of design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of highly interactive JavaScript applications all while working on a diverse, highly collaborative team spanning multiple partner organizations? What you’ll do:

  • Create accessible, dynamic, and responsive interfaces using modern JavaScript ES6+, Typescript, React, CSS and Sass. 
  • Create styled components with Emotion. 
  • Use modern web development tools like Webpack, Redux, NextJS, and Gatsby. 
  • Build front-end code in design systems like Storybook. 
  • Create data visualizations with D3 and other SVG generation tools. 
  • Write front-ends for sites and applications with decoupled backends based in Drupal and WordPress. 
  • Optimize and monitor front-end performance and resolve cross browser compatibility issues.
  • Use Git and GitHub to manage source code changes, and participate in code reviews. 
  • Provide estimates on basic tasks and level of effort to build a small feature or function for the site/application.
  • Collaborate in the development of websites and web-based applications using an Agile software development methodology.
  • Assess existing sites/systems for code quality.
  • Evangelize for best practices for open source development.


What you bring to the table:

  • At least two years of experience with vanilla JavaScript, React,  and Node.js. 
  • Experience writing CSS and SASS. 
  • Experience using git for source control.
  • Solid portfolio showing at least 2–3 projects.
  • Understanding of web standards and accessibility guidelines.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a tight schedule.
  • Experience collaborating with others and working in cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with decoupled architectures.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Typescript  
  • Agency or consulting experience
