User Experience Design Intern

As a User Experience Design Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to  work alongside our team of user experience designers, brand designers, content strategists, and interaction designers who are passionate about using their design skills for good. Interns will be involved in every aspect of the project process, from strategy and audience research, to prototyping solutions and drafting product requirements. You will be mentored by award-winning designers and work on a mix of client-facing projects and internal projects. 

The internship will run from June 8th – August 7th. Interns will work Monday – Thursday, 30 hours per week.


What you’ll do:

  • WORK & SUPPORT – Support design staff on projects. This may include assisting clients and teams in executing project strategic visions, audience research and analysis, sketching and prototyping, design support, and structure and workflow planning. 
  • LEARNING & GROWTH – Seeks and accepts feedback. Be a proactive learner and takes on tough assignments to improve skills. Strive to identify and fill gaps in knowledge or skills. Share expertise, ideas, tools relevant from current education experience. 
  • COMMUNICATION – Communicate well both verbally and in writing. Create accurate and punctual reports. Deliver presentations and shares information and ideas with others, with good listening skills. 
  • ACCOUNTABILITY – Meet commitments. Work independently and accepts accountability. Meet attendance/punctuality requirements. Set personal standards. Stay focused under pressure


What you bring to the table:

  • Pursuing a BA/BS degree or equivalent in a design-related field (junior or senior preferred) or pursuing a MA/MS degree or equivalent in a design-related field.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience conducting audience research preferred.
  • Experience working with external clients or working in an agency atmosphere a plus.
