Colleges, universities, and independent schools rely on the enduring support of alumni, donors, prospective students, parents, government officials, community leaders, corporate executives, foundation officers, and other external constituencies. Ongoing support requires educational institutions to foster and grow relationships with these groups.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is the global association for professionals in advancement—alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services—who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society. CASE helps its members build stronger relationships with all of their constituencies to ensure quality education for students and ongoing learning for professionals at their institutions.

Growing effectiveness through audience research

In order to effectively continue championing education, CASE was at a point where they needed to accelerate their digital strategy, or risk becoming less relevant in a constantly changing industry. The association was growing fast around the world and had to balance the needs of domestic and global members while meeting ambitious membership and retention goals. Through a combination of member and stakeholder surveys, interviews, workshops, and analytics assessments, Forum One developed an understanding of CASE’s stakeholders and members, organizational priorities as they relate to digital strategy, and the current business landscape.

Using the information collected, our team developed a strategic roadmap to move CASE from an event-first strategy to a digital-first strategy, beginning by redeveloping and redesigning their website with a focus on member experience. Our team currently provides branding, communications, marketing, advertising, and analytics support to the CASE team to help grow their impact, track progress, and make data-driven adjustments to their digital strategy. 

Impact

With the execution of an effective digital-first strategy, CASE is now equipped to keep up with their evolving environment and more easily adapt to changes. A strengthened digital presence allows CASE to personalize their content and tailor their member experience, leading to increased retention and engagement.
