Exciting Wins in WebAwards 2017

The winners of the 2017 WebAwards competition have been announced and we are thrilled to be included in three winning categories.

The Web Marketing Association is the producer of the WebAward Competition. Now in its 17th year, the WebAward program is the longest running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best websites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.

2017 winners have been announced and we are pleased to see three of our client sites coming in first place:

Best Arts Website: National Museum of African American History and Culture

Forum One worked with the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) to lead the design, user experience, and front-end development of a beautiful, responsive website that lets online audiences explore the museum through stunning visuals and an intuitive, engaging content structure. Together, we created a digital home for the NMAAHC that tells personal stories, celebrates its historic importance, and lets all Americans share in experiencing a common history and an instantly iconic national landmark.

Government Standard of Excellence: Peace Corps

Peace Corps launched a refreshed brand platform, including an updated logo and new visual identity to take a modern, digitally-focused approach to engage the next generation of Volunteers. As part of this extensive brand refresh, Forum One completely overhauled and redesigned the website with an emphasis on putting the user first. The website reflects the Peace Corps’ new visual look and takes a bold, authentic approach to tell the Peace Corps story.

Outstanding Website: Fairfax County Public Schools

Forum One partnered with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) to design a new central website showcasing vibrant colors, bold imagery, and a seamless user experience. This new design reflects the energy of the district and serves as a welcoming platform for multiple audiences. We then set to work adapting and extending the refreshed design and user-friendly information architecture to the 194 individual school websites. Each school can spin off a site that stays consistent and closely integrated with the latest updates from the FCPS central site, while showcasing its school colors and unique content.

Congratulations to all involved in the design and development of the winning websites. We are honored to have been able to play a part in their production.
