Forum One Condemns Violence and Disruption at the U.S. Capitol

Forum One condemns the violent occupation of the U.S. Capitol yesterday that disrupted the work of Congress to certify the election, and flaunted our laws and democratic processes. We add our voice to  The Communications Network, NTEN, National Association of Manufacturers, Southern Poverty Law Center, The California Wellness Foundation, Independent Sector, and a growing list of companies, foundations, and nonprofits.

We condemn the actions to disrupt the election, the white nationalism and systemic racism on display yesterday, and those who incited this violence.  Forum One will continue to work for a just democracy supported by an engaged, informed polity, and to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization and through our work.

“Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community, a nation and world society at peace with itself.”

~ Congressman John Lewis, July 30, 2020.
