Digital Solutions for Higher Education Institutions

Digital solutions play a key role in how higher education institutions navigate today’s tech-centric environment. A robust and deliberate digital strategy and transformation plan is an absolute cornerstone for any institution and its programs. Whether it is to enhance the student or external audience experience, create and maintain a culture of data-driven decision making, optimize internal communication and resources, or improve competitiveness, digital solutions provide pathways to achieving them.

Forum One is dedicated to supporting higher education institutions to adapt and deliver top quality digital solutions that meet the needs of their students, faculty and staff, and external audiences, and remain competitive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Data management and visualizations for leadership and programs

Forum One works with institutions to present complex data that allow audiences to explore, understand, share, and apply information to make smarter, data-driven decisions. We successfully employ digital data storytelling to share actionable data to strengthen and support communities. We also work with higher education institutions to break down silos to unify and organize data so that leadership can make informed decisions to meet their goals. Forum One designed and developed the City Health Dashboard with NYU Langone Health’s Department of Population Health to share and compare data on 37 measures of public health across more than 500 U.S. cities. With powerful tools to explore and analyze the data, the City Health Dashboard is a one-stop resource for comprehensive, reliable, and actionable data to help America’s cities build healthier and more equitable communities.

Digital ecosystems and accessible web design and development for higher education

We improve the effectiveness of higher education institutions’ overall digital ecosystems by managing digital properties as products, eliminating duplicative, competing, or poorly-performing channels, and adding new digital services for students and other audiences. Through in-depth discovery and research, we uncover issues around audiences, content, branding, data, and technical requirements that allow higher education institutions to undergo a digital transformation that delivers online content, services and resources through a cohesive digital ecosystem. Forum One works with Georgetown University to extend the influence of its research and data to inform policymakers, changemakers, and general audiences alike by developing and supporting accessible and user-friendly digital experiences, including the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security and the Center for Security and Emerging Technology.

Higher education digital strategy and digital transformation

Higher education institutions need to focus resources so that any technology investment is deliberate and strategic. At Forum One, we can work with these institutions to deliver successful digital strategies that are flexible enough to accommodate technology and organizational changes, and specific enough to chart a clear course that the entire institution can follow.  For example, Forum One worked with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), using information collected through stakeholder surveys, interviews, workshops, and analytics assessments, to develop a strategic roadmap to move CASE to a digital-first strategy, beginning by redeveloping and redesigning their website with a focus on member experience. We continue to partner with CASE on branding, communications, marketing, advertising, and analytics support to help them grow their impact.
